Speech and Language at Heritage Middle School

Greetings! My name is Jerilyn Whitsitt, and I am the Speech Language Pathologist currently serving the students of Heritage Middle School.  I work with a wide variety of students from students with severe autism to students who need extra language help as a related service on their Individual Education Plan.  In my first go-round at college I had hoped to end up as a middle school English teacher, but life interrupted those plans. Going back to graduate school after staying home with my four sons for over a decade, I had no idea what population I would end up working with, but it feels as if my life has come full circle to be in the middle school setting. I will use this space to post wonderings that I have about my job here, resources that I'm using, interesting (hopefully!) stories, and much more, so stay tuned as we wonder together!
